Because it’s always fun to see what you guys loved the most…

It’s 2022!  Can you EVEN believe it? I can NOT.  What a wild ride – I truly don’t even know where to begin?  Just so many question marks, because that it really just how I feel these days, ha.  I’m excited to share some of my blog highlights from last year in the form of my top five blog posts and 10 most purchased products…did you buy any of these?  I’d love to hear your thoughts!

This week is all about getting sh*t done for me.  I feel like I’m behind on almost everything except my marketing client work (which is a good thing), but I’m falling way behind on those annoying life things like doing laundry or de-cluttering my dining room table.  Guys, OMG, when I walked into my apartment after being in New York for over a week during Christmas, my first reaction was “Jesus, this place looks like a hoarder’s paradise.”  Not good!  I need to de-clutter, I need to purge the beauty products I’ll never try or use, I need to put away the pile of clothing on my bedroom floor.  I’m sure many of you can relate, no?  Please send me your tips!

Anyway, I’m looking forward to a fun and successful 2022 filled with lots of laughter and love.

Most purchased products of 2021

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion Sunscreen SPF 50

Call me the queen of sunscreen? I kind of love that three of my best-selling products just so happened to be SPF – it means I’m preaching the right stuff 😉  I’ve preached about this SPF for years and whenever someone asks for an SPF that is great yet won’t break the bank, this is my go-to.  This broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection SPF has a water-light feel, SPF 50, and quenches the skin with luxurious hydration – seriously, it feels like a prestige sunscreen.

REN Clean Screen Mineral SPF 30 Mattifying Face Sunscreen

This physical SPF (ie it’s based with zinc oxide that physically blocks UVA/UVB rays) is the perfect “clean” SPF of your dreams.  It also blocks blue-light rays and helps minimize shine and large pores.

SkinCeuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50

SkinCeuticals certainly isn’t cheap but their products are SO good.  Formulated with only physical sun filters, this transparent formula sinks into skin without leaving that dreaded white tint or any sticky, oily residue on your face. This SPF is weightless, spreads evenly, and dries to a matte, shine-free finish.

Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Retinol Night Oil

If you follow me on IG then you know I talk about my love of this retinol oil ALL THE TIME. Almost an annoying amount maybe? lol. But maybe not since so many of you bought it and presumably love it 🙂

This gentle retinol oil (yep, no irritation from this baby) is balanced with blue tansy to improve the look of wrinkles, surface redness, and pores.  It feels just SO silky on the skin and you don’t even need a moisturizer after – it’s that hydrating.

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer

“I made it because I wanted the girls to get kissed more.”—Rihanna

The brand sent me this gloss at its launch and, since then, I’ve re-purchased it about four times, no joke.  Now for someone who gets sent more lip gloss than any human could ever use, that’s saying A LOT.  The universal lip luminizer delivers explosive shine in six shades that flatter all skin tones.  The non-sticky formula is super shiny, and has an addictive peach-vanilla scent you just can’t get enough of.

OUAI Rose Hair & Body Oil

OUAI is, of course, one of my favorite hair brands and I was elated to see that this multitasking oil for hair and body is one of my most purchased of 2021.  It’s color-safe for anyone who dyes their hair, and it really does an amazing job at hydrating the skin.  It’s fast-absorbing and illuminates the hair and skin as it restores moisture and diminishes the appearance of damage.  The fragrance?  My actual favorite OUAI scent, Melrose Place –  a velvety rich rose fragrance with hints of bergamot, lychee, cedarwood, and white musk.  A must-have, friends.

Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask

I discovered this mask at the very start of COVID quarantine and became obsessed on first use.  This detoxifying, cooling clay mask instantly reduces the look of pores, smooths skin texture, and controls oil all day.  As you guys know, my skin can be a bit sensitive to clay since I have rosacea, but this mask didn’t irritate my skin at all and, in fact, my skin looks AMAZING after using it.  Inspired by the “cold plunge” part of a Scandinavian sauna cycle, this cooling clay mask detoxifies, controls oil, and reduces the look of pores.

Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Body Clear Body Wash

Two Neutrogena best-sellers?  YEP.  I’ve been using this body wash since I worked for the brand’s PR agency of record in like 2007.  What you might not know is that salicylic acid, in addition to fighting acne, is a natural exfoliant so I love using this wash before I shave.  This grapefruit-scented body wash has 2% salicylic acid. It can help fight those buttne or backne bumps but, like I said, it’s really good for everyday use just in general!

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel

Here’s another product I rave about all over Instagram; it truly is a facial in a box, guys.  There are three strengths (this one, one for sensitive skin, and one that’s extra strength for those who can handle it), and the two-step peel pad has alll the best acids to give you your smoothest, glow-iest skin ever.

The two-step anti-aging AHA/BHA peel pads are pre-dosed with five acids to visibly reduce dullness and uneven texture, pores, and dark spots.  Step one uses potent AHAs (like malic acid and BHAs like salicylic acid). It gently exfoliate the skin, refine pores, and support natural cell renewal. Step two is fueled with retinol and resveratrol for maximized anti-aging benefits and skin protection. It stops acid activity and hydrates and smoothes the skin.  You will legit GLOW after you use these.

OSEA Anti-Aging Sea Serum

Lastly, I love this serum but I was pleasantly surprised to see how popular this was because I actually only linked to this product on my podcast!  The power of the podcast. I’m obsessed and thank you!  After having OSEA’s founder on A Little Too Much podcast, I was sold on how amazing OSEA products are and this serum is no exception.  It targets all signs of aging. Also, it supports the skin’s moisture barrier, and is enriched with seaweed, vitamin C, niacinamide, ceramides. It also has natural peptides for a full-on attack on all things wrinkles and aging.
